Unlock the Power of Expression:
Emotive Masked Play Workshop
Theatre and movement lovers, seasoned or curious, are invited to a unique emotive masked play workshop with renowned instructors from Montreal, Canada, as part of the Parallel Events Program of Larnaca Biennale 2025. This one-of-a-kind workshop introduces participants to the transformative art of masked
performance, where movement and presence speak louder than words.
Open to all levels and backgrounds, no prior theatre experience is required—only a willingness to explore.
Guided in English, the workshop encourages participants to uncover the hidden emotional
language of the body. With masks as both a playful and powerful tool, the workshop helps
unlock creativity, spontaneity, and authentic self-expression.
Connecting to the Biennale’s theme “Along Lines and Traces,” the workshop investigates
how gestures and movements leave physical and symbolic marks—traces of history, identity,
and imagination.
Masks, as both concealment and revelation, become abstractions of these
lines, embodying the stories we carry and the identities we shape.
